• What is CGI?

CGI stands for Computer Generated Imagery. It refers to the creation of Imagery, scenes, or special effects using computer software.

    How much does CGI cost?

The cost of CGI can vary significantly depending on various factors such as project complexity, number of visuals and any additional services like animation. Because of this, it can be challenging to give an estimate without knowing more about the project. If you are thinking about having some CGI’s created and can send me some details of the project I would be more than happy to provide a non-obligated quote via the contact page. I’m also available to work on a day rate if your team need some help.

Are there any advantages to using CGI instead of photography?

CGI offers several advantages over photography, such as the ability to create entirely virtual environments, generate highly detailed and realistic visuals, manipulate or modify scenes with ease, and achieve effects that may be impossible or impractical to capture through traditional photography. It can also allow for greater control over the creative process and eliminates the need for physical props, sets, or location shoots which can make it a cheaper option.

    What is architectural visualisation?

Architectural visualisation is the process of creating realistic, computer-generated images or animations to represent architectural designs. It helps visualise and communicate the look, feel, and functionality of a building or space before it is constructed which can help with marketing a project. It can also be useful for interior design to be used as an asset in the design stage to help the customer visualise the design and sign off before any physical purchases are made.

What information should I provide to you?

To create high-quality CGI, whether that's for Architecture, Interior Design or Products it's important to provide relevant information. This includes detailed briefs or concept documents, reference images or videos, specific design requirements, desired visual style or mood, and any technical specifications such as CAD, 3D Models and Material and texture references that you may have.

    What is the process?
After sending through the relevant information and confirming a booking I will produce the 3D assets needed for the project. I will then produce white renders of the 3D space to make sure you are happy with the camera view. After this stage, I will produce the low quality drafts, which will have all the materials and lighting for feedback before the final content is rendered. There are 2 rounds of feedback priced into the quote given.

    What programs do you use?

I use 3DSmax, Fstorm renderer, Davinci resolve. I also have good knowledge of Corona renderer and Vray from using them in the past.
